Bronze Ballerina

Edgar Degas' Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans, (Little Dancer of Fourteen Years) 1879-1881, is the only sculpture Edgar Degas chose to exhibit throughout his lifetime.
Last Month, the bronze sculpture depicting a young ballerina was bought by a private bidder at Sothebys Auction house in London for $30 million.

Dont forgot from one of Pointed Toes earlier posts this year that Edgar Degas is exhibiting at the National Art Gallery of Australia in Canberra. The exhibition was only on for a limited time and ends this month 22nd March 2009.
So dont miss out, as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of Degas' amazing works.
