SYTYCD U.S.A contestant Melinda Sullivan features in this 3 minute viral video mixing old school tap techniques with a contemporary song giving tap a whole new, fresh feel.

Runaway Ballerinas

We love Kanye West and his musical talent but we are really loving his music video "Runaway"
featuring a cast of ballerinas from different ballet companies all over Czech Republic dressed in black tutu's.
The clip does give off a similar vibe to the recent movie release Black Swan.
This 8 minute video is only part of the 34 minute short film version that is directed and written by West.

Live to Dance-Behind the Scenes

Our very own TV personality Andy G (Australian Idol) is hosting the new US TV series LIVE TO DANCE. Also the highly sought after recording artist and dancer Paula Abdul and an extensive panel of dance industry experts (Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt) will follow talented dancers from across the country to audition for this new series. The dancers audition in specially constructed Dance Domes that were built in both New York and Los Angeles. The series showcases dancers from all styles, backgrounds and ages where they will be selected for the LIVE TO DANCE cast and battle for the right to be crowned LIVE TO DANCE champion and taking home the grand prize of $500,000.

Open Day At The Wharf

Be part of Sydney's Arts Precinct opening their doors to the public this Sunday December 5 from 10am-4pm at Pier 4/5 Hickson Road Walsh Bay.

Dance, sing, paint, act and play: you can participate in free forums and workshops, take a tour or just go ‘behind-the-scenes’ at your leisure.

You can join in on 30 min introduction ballet, Hip-Hop or jazz class with the Sydney Dance Company, take part in a Workshop with the Bangarra Dance Company or even watch an excerpt from 6 breaths choreographed by Rafael Bonachela and performed by the Sydney Dance Company.

The Dogs are returning

We can all remember our first Tap Dog experience in the mid nineties when the Dogs did their first tour of Australia.

The famous Tap Dogs are back in 2011 with the same amount, if not more of blood, sweat and tears put into a sensational 80 minute non-stop routine.

Great Chinese State Circus- Swan Lake

One of our fans all the way from NZ told us about this video and thought we should share it with the rest of our wonderful fans.

It is a 4 min video of the Great Chinese State Circus doing their take on the famous ballet production Swan Lake and is with one of the most amazing pas de deux we have ever seen.

La Danse preview

La Danse is a documentary based on the master director Frederick Wiseman's with filming behind the scenes of rehearsals and performances by the Paris Opera Ballet including Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker.
As well as the amazing dancers involved, the film shows the collaborative efforts of all the other people helping get these productions on stage from the choreographers to the musicians, costume, set and lighting designers.

This film is a must see and is only showing for an exclusive season at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington, Sydney.

We went and saw the recently released musical FAME.
The show was amazing and from our front row seats we saw all the action nice and close.
It was a full house with great choreography from the one and only Kelley Abbey and lots of familiar faces from previous seasons of SYTYCD, Fame was a real crowd pleaser.
