Fame in London

Stars transformed the city of London into downtown Manhattan and recreated the famous street dance sequence from musical "Fame".

Actress Denise Van Outen and comedian Johnny Vegas were backed by over 1,000 dancers and even members of the public were invited to join in on the event which took place in Worship Street, near Liverpool Street station.

The stunt was organised by TV channel Turner Classic Movies as part of its 'Capture Your Classic' campaign, asking members of the public to re-make scenes from their favourite films.

Two Amazing Performers

The last few weeks have been very sad, with the passing of "The King Of Pop" Michael Jackson and now the death of legendary Choreographer Pina Bausch.

If you remember our Post back in May about the First 3d Dance Film collaboration with Film producer Wim Wenders and Pina Bausch. The 3D feature was going into production this September.
We also posted a video of behind the scenes of MJ's up and coming tour.

Two amazing performers will be sadly missed.

Dance Fabulous

Dance Fabulous is the creation of Nokia Music, Interscope Records and Dave Stewart.

The idea behind the creation Dance Fabulous is to dance along with music, using the directional arrows on your Nokia phone to create dance moves. There are different locations for you to dance in, which you can only be accessed by unlocking them. This means you have to dance your way through the levels and bust some amazing moves to get to the next stage.
Once you’ve completed a stage, you can move into a more ‘Dance Matt’ style section where you follow pre-set dance moves.

So now you can dance anywhere and at anytime even with your mobile phone.

The behind the scenes footage looks intense, but this once in a life time opportunity to be chosen as one of Michael's Back up dancers would definatly be worth the stress.

91-Year-Old Hip Hop Dancer

George Bramley busting some hip hop moves. Photo: Dominic O'Brien

Twice a week, 91 year old George puts on his dancing shoes and takes part in senior hip hop classes at Mt Helen Studio Jete in Victoria.
The father of three, grandfather of four and great grandfather of five had no idea of what hip hop dancing was but thought he would give it a try.

It's so good to see all ages are enjoying the art of Hip Hop dancing.
