Dance Scenes In Movies

Pointed Toes has come across some great dance scenes in movies from all genres, Comedy to Drama.

We found an amusing scene in the 1988 Comedy Horror movie Beetle Juice by Tim Burton with Delia (Catherine O'Hara) and her dinner party guests forced by ghosts to sing the Banana Boat Song while dancing around the table.

Wouldnt it be fun if all dinner parties ended up with the guests busting dance moves around the dinner table.

The Treadmill Dance

The band OK GO wanted to do something really different so they decided to perform one of their music videos while dancing on eight treadmills.

The music video HERE IT GOES AGAIN was choreographed by one of the band member's sisters.
The dance routine consists of eight rented treadmills lined up in which they jump, spin, moonwalk, skip, duck and shuffle in a synchronized treadmill dance.

The band had to perform the routine in its entirety nearly 20 times to get a clean take. They copped some serious bumps and bruises during the four days of practice before the final shoot but have had such a great response that the video has been viewed on You Tube over ten million times.

This video must be seen to be believed.
