We love fashion and the designers behind Australian fashion brand Lover have been inspired by the essence of dance for their new collection. Featuring in the campaign video is senior artist from the Australian ballet Amber Scott.

A Dance for one is Directed by Alice Wesley Smith and Kasia Werstak.

Dance-A-Thon

Dance-A-Thon 2011 is a 12-hr non-stop dance marathon, with the aim of raising funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation.
We love to dance and why not dance for such a good cause.

The Dance-A-Thon is taking place on Sunday June 12th at the Bondi Pavillion 10:00am-10:00pm

Go For It!

We are sorry for the break in posts recently. We have been working on some exciting new ventures.

While doing some research for our new ventures we came across this trailer of a new dance flick coming to cinemas soon.

The movie is "Go For it" and is revolved around a 19-year-old girl called Carmen (Aimee Garcia) who is a Mexican-American college student who loves hip-hop dancing and practices her moves in Chicago's underground dance clubs. Carmen's ultimate dream is to become professional dancer and with the help of a supportive teacher (Al Bandiero) encourages her to apply to a California dance academy.

Sydney Dance Company 2011 Season

We are very excited for Sydney Dance Companies 2011 Season.
Check out the short trailer of what is to come in 2011, with some amazing choreography from Artistic director Rafael Bonachela & choreographer Jacopo Godani.

Dance Assassin

We loved this 1 minute 30 video of the break dancing artist known as the "Dance Assassin". He busts the moves as a garden hedge and even disguises himself as a pile of garbage.
The Dance Assassin does scare some innocent passing Byers, but he is definitely a talented and creative artist.
We would like the Dance Assassin can show us some more of his dance works.

Tap dancing Beyonce

We love this tap dancing twist on Beyonces hit "Single Ladies".
SYTYCD U.S.A contestant Melinda Sullivan features in this 3 minute viral video mixing old school tap techniques with a contemporary song giving tap a whole new, fresh feel.

Runaway Ballerinas

We love Kanye West and his musical talent but we are really loving his music video "Runaway"
featuring a cast of ballerinas from different ballet companies all over Czech Republic dressed in black tutu's.
The clip does give off a similar vibe to the recent movie release Black Swan.
This 8 minute video is only part of the 34 minute short film version that is directed and written by West.

Live to Dance-Behind the Scenes

Our very own TV personality Andy G (Australian Idol) is hosting the new US TV series LIVE TO DANCE. Also the highly sought after recording artist and dancer Paula Abdul and an extensive panel of dance industry experts (Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt) will follow talented dancers from across the country to audition for this new series. The dancers audition in specially constructed Dance Domes that were built in both New York and Los Angeles. The series showcases dancers from all styles, backgrounds and ages where they will be selected for the LIVE TO DANCE cast and battle for the right to be crowned LIVE TO DANCE champion and taking home the grand prize of $500,000.
